Lightning show
I forgot I'd taken this short video. We haven't seen such a busy early evening storm in many years.

That looks very similar to a lightning storm we had a couple months back. Our trees were silhouetted by the in-cloud lightning, all of which had very little thunder. There were very few visible lightning strikes, just the clouds being lit. Ours went on for hours, and when I got up in the middle of the night and it was still going on. It was reported as having as many as 2 thousand strikes and hour here in the Sierras. It was the biggest lightning storm I had very seen. Oh yeah, there was some rain and plenty of hail to go with that. Fun stuff.
