A happily rainy day
The clouds were building after lunch and I just couldn't resist trying to time-lapse them once again. The first video was started a little late in the build-up and ended early due to the rain. The second video is of a cloud deck to our west, about a half hour after the first. What drew me was a perception of motion on the cloud's base. Again, rain made me stop. The first shower gave us about .2" of water. This comes a day after our first significant rain (.29") in over six weeks. We're parched or our lawn is; we're not withering and turning a deathly brown, it is. Anyway, here are the videos. Both were taken at a frame every 12 seconds or so with the playback rate set to 15 fps to stretch their length.Update:We received .38" of rain from the two storms. The lawn loved it.
